FACULTY RESEARCH CLUSTER

IESP supports original, multi-disciplinary collaborative research projects through the establishment of a Faculty Research Cluster Program.

  • 46 % IESP faculties engaged with 46% of the total environmental research on UIC campus.

  • 188 IESP has 188 environmental afflicted faculties from 42 departments and centers, as of the 2017-2018 academic year.

PREDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP COMPETITION

[TEMPROAL DISCOUNTING] The UIC Institute for Environmental Science and Policy awards predoctoral fellowships to students engaging in interdisciplinary environmental research themes that are congruent with the mission and goals of the Institute.

  • Awardee From 2008 to 2017, predoctoral fellowship has funded 19 Ph.D. students matriculating through 7 departments.

  • PhD Student Total of 51 doctoral students have affiliated with IESP across 9 departments, since 2008. 26 are women, and 22 are minority.
